ASTM A242 steel sheets and plates are made from a group of steel alloys that include copper, chromium, nickel, and phosphorus. The addition of these elements creates a protective layer of rust-like surface that prevents further corrosion of the steel. This layer of rust forms a natural, protective barrier that helps to protect the steel from the effects of the environment, including exposure to rain, snow, humidity, and salt air.

The "N" in S355J2W N indicates that the steel has been normalized. S355J2W is a hot-rolled weather-resistant structural steel grade. The "S" in the designation stands for structural steel, while "355" refers to the minimum yield strength value in megapascals (MPa). The "J2W" part indicates that it is designed to have improved atmospheric corrosion resistance, making it suitable for outdoor and exposed environments. The "J2" indicates that the steel has been impact-tested at -20°C, and the "W" signifies its resistance to atmospheric corrosion.

S355J2W is part of the EN 10025-5 standard, which specifies the technical delivery conditions for structural steels with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance. This steel grade is primarily used in construction and architectural applications, where its weather-resistant properties help ensure the structure's longevity and durability in challenging weather conditions.

The corrosion resistance of S355J2W is achieved through the formation of a protective patina on the surface of the steel. This patina acts as a barrier that prevents further corrosion from occurring, ultimately extending the lifespan of the material.

Stainless steel sheet is available in Type 304 and Type 316. Type 304 can be easily roll-formed or bent, and its excellent corrosion resistance and weldability make it one of the most popular grades. Type 316 is a high corrosion resistance alloy, providing greater resistance to pitting-type corrosion. Typical uses for Type 316 include marine, chemical, paper, textile, and food service applications, such as a stainless steel backsplash. Our stainless steel sheet is dual certified 316/316L, which helps prevent corrosion after welding.

We are manufacturer and supplier of Stainless Steel Checkered Sheet. A 304 L stainless steel checkered sheet refers to a sheet made from stainless steel grade 304L that features a checkered or diamond-patterned texture on its surface Grade 304L is a low-carbon variation of the widely used 304 stainless steel. The "L" in 304L stands for "low carbon," which means it contains a lower carbon content compared to standard 304 stainless steel. This makes 304L less susceptible to sensitization and corrosion in certain environments, making it suitable for various applications where corrosion resistance is crucial. It's commonly used in industries like food processing, chemical, and pharmaceutical, as well as for architectural and decorative purposes. A checkered sheet, also known as a diamond plate or tread plate, is a type of sheet metal with a pattern of raised diamonds or lines on its surface. This pattern is not only decorative but also serves a functional purpose, providing enhanced traction and grip. Checkered sheets are commonly used in areas where slip resistance is needed, such as industrial floors, stairs, ramps, and vehicle flooring.

Material Stainless Steel 904L

904L is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel with low carbon content. The grade is intended for use under severe corrosive conditions. It has been application proved over many years and was originally developed to resist corrosion in dilute sulfuric acid. It is standardized and approved for pressure vessel use in several countries. Structurally, 904L is fully austenitic and is less sensitive to precipitation ferrite and sigma phases than conventional austenitic grades with high molybdenum content. Characteristically, due to the combination of relatively high contents of chromium, nickel, molybdenum and copper 904L has good resistance to general corrosion, particularly in sulfuric and phosphoric conditions.
